Join us for MAXIMUM TILT, a new three-day festival of artists’ moving image programmed by artists Andrew Black and Anne-Marie Copestake, taking place during Midsummer 2026.

ONE WORK | Wei Zhang, 'The Silver Tide' (2025)

This May LUX Scotland is delighted to present the premiere Wei Zhang’s new work The Silver Tide (2025) as part of our ONE WORK series.

We commissioned film writer and film curator Cici Peng to respond to Wei Zhang’s 'The Silver Tide' (2025) as part of our ONE WORK series.

May Advice Sessions

We offer free online advice sessions for artists who are based in Scotland and are not in education, aimed at developing a wide-ranging dialogue around your practice.

We commissioned curator and writer Rachel Grant to respond to Donald Butler's new commission 'FLARE' (2026), commissioned by LUX Scotland as part of We Contain Multitudes.

Artists Jordan Lord, Blaise Kirschner and Corin Sworn respond to set questions of the subject of 'writing for artists' moving image'.
