This screening features the premiere of Charlotte Prodger’s new work Stoneymollan Trail as recipient of the annual Margaret Tait Award 2014/2015.
Prodger’s work customarily brings together narratives from a variety of sources in multi-channel sculptural installation. Her new Margaret Tait Award commission combines digital animation, iPhone footage, archival material on miniDV and will consider ways to block, divide and reveal. Named after the experimental filmmaker Margaret Tait, the Award recognises Scotland-based artists who work within film and moving image in an experimental and innovative way.
Prodger will present here inspiration for the commission, Nancy Holt’s Sun Tunnels (1978) & Revolve (1977), on Sunday 22 February at CCA Glasgow.
