Presented as part of Demarco Archive Exhibitions, join us for an evening of films and discussion exploring the relationship between Tait’s written poetry and her work as a filmmaker, programmed to coincide with the current exhibition, Interim Edition: The Margaret Tait Poetry Archive.

The programme includes Rose Street (1956, 14 min), Where I Am Is Here (1964, 35 min), Palindrome (1964, 6 min), and Tailpiece (1976, 9 min), and will be followed by a conversation with Richard Demarco (friend of Tait’s and great champion of her work) and Dr Sarah Neely (curator of the current exhibition).

This event is presented in partnership with Demarco Archive Exhibitions and Margaret Tait 100, a year-long centenary celebration of the work of Scotland’s pioneering filmmaker and poet, Margaret Tait (1918 – 99).
