Hear from artist Margaret Salmon in conversation with Glasgow and Berlin-based curator and previous LUX Scotland Director Mason Leaver-Yap. The conversation covers themes and ideas surrounding Salmon’s exhibition Circle, and took place on it’s final day at Tramway, 18 March 2018.

Circle was a survey of works by the American-born, Glasgow-based artist Margaret Salmon, who works primarily on 16mm and 35mm film. The exhibition aspired beyond re-presenting existing works made over the past 20 years, instead it sought to draw a line around Salmon’s practice as a whole, circumscribing what exists in between the works or in their shadows: the sketches, the research, the remnants.

Circle was co-produced by Tramway and LUX Scotland, and was presented in partnership with Glasgow Film Festival.
