‘A band of amateur performers rehearses an elaborate juggling routine in preparation for some nameless public festival. The camera picks out one strapping specimen from the troupe, worshipping his grace, his beauty and his sheer animal prowess. Perhaps conscious of our admiration, this winged Apollo haughtily exhibits his own pulchritude – dismissing us at last with a gesture of imperial scorn. A meditation on the male form that evokes the early motion studies of Edward Muybridge, but also resonates with dark hints of the primordial and the tribal.’ – Peter Matthews
