LUX Scotland’s Commitment to Anti-Racism

As an organisation, and as a group of individuals, we want to show our solidarity and support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

While we decide the actions we can take to change our organisation, we want to make our commitment public and therefore hold ourselves accountable.

We acknowledge the structural racism that prevails in our society and we recognise our part in this.

We are committed to addressing the lack of diversity across our organisation.

We are committed to addressing what it means to be an anti-racist institution.

We are committed to questioning how structural racism affects our work, including employment, governance, recruitment, training, programming and commissioning, and how we work with artists and audiences.

We recognise the work that is already being done to redress structural racism across the Scottish cultural sector, laying the foundation for further change.
